DAYTONA BEACH, FL (March 11, 2011) – If you happen to be on Daytona State College’s Daytona Beach Campus on Thursday mornings, then stop by one of the coffee shops, grab a cup of coffee or tea along with a pastry, and plan to participate in a French language and culture immersion opportunity hosted by Raymond Cornelius, professor, School of Modern Languages.
“The weekly La Table Française activity helps students from all levels by exposing them to French language with films such as “La Vie En Rose,” commented Cornelius. “These weekly activities complement the course materials and students also use it as an opportunity to prepare for tests.”
Cornelius joined Daytona State in 1996 and holds a Master of Arts from Vanderbilt University, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Georgia, and an Associate of Arts from Seminole State College of Florida.
Many of the activities are open the College community who are interested in the cultures represented by the French language. La Table Française meets on the Daytona Beach Campus, 1200 W. International Speedway Blvd., in bldg. 340, rm. 204, from 8:30 to 9:20 a.m.
